On August 4, the couple was seen enjoying the dressage individual Grand Prix freestyle at the beautiful Château de Versailles. Ryan wore a plaid red shirt with a white Paris 2024 cap and dark sunglasses.

Eve looked casual and stylish like her partner. She wore a black ensemble with a few accessories and completed her look with a sun hat and large sunglasses.
Later, they attended the women’s uneven bars final at Bercy Stadium with their daughters, Esmeralda and Amada, one in a yellow dress and the other in a white sweater.

At the stadium, Ryan and Eva wore the same sunglasses and outfits they had at the Château de Versailles. However, Ryan swapped his white cap for a green Olympic hat, while Eva didn’t wear any headgear.

Despite their efforts to blend in, their choice of accessories didn’t escape the eagle eyes of fans and critics alike, some finding it annoying. “The sunglasses. Why do ‘celebrities’ do this? It’s especially irritating when they are being interviewed,” a critic commented.

“Why are they wearing sunglasses inside?” another questioned. “Was this event held outside at midday,? If not, they look absolutely ridiculous [sic],” one noted. “If you are trying to be incognito take your sunglasses off when inside watching gymnastics 🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️ Ridiculous! [sic]” exclaimed another.

Someone criticized the couple’s choice to wear sunglasses, suggesting Eva attempted to “stand out” and expressing frustration with the idea that “celebrities are the best things.”

While some fans expressed their frustration, others had a bit of fun with the situation. “Are the sunglasses supposed to keep them incognito?? Don’t think it worked,” one remarked while another said, “The sun must have been blazing inside over there in France [sic].”

Additionally, the online community didn’t miss a chance to comment on Eva’s lips. “What’s with her lips ?[sic]” a user wondered. “Just a little more filler in the lips…Eva,” noted one observant netizen while another suggested, “Eva needs to lay off the lip filler…”

Despite the criticisms, some fans jumped in to defend the pair and express their admiration. An admirer declared, “Hottest couple award!” and another gushed, “So glad for them, cute couple!!!!!”

Away from the Olympic spotlight, Eva has been open about her decision to step back from acting to focus on her family. In a March 2024 interview with “Today,” she called it a “no-brainer” to prioritize her children’s upbringing over Hollywood demands.

While Ryan continues his successful career, Eva has embraced being a full-time mom. “[It] was almost just like a non-verbal agreement that it was like, ‘Okay, he’s gonna work and I’m gonna work, just gonna work here,'” she explained.
Eva is impressed with Ryan’s acting career, noting that he is “really good at his job.” She highlighted Ryan’s role as Ken in the “Barbie” movie, and even paid tribute to him on Instagram, writing, “You took Ken all the way to the Oscar’s, RG. Now come home, we need to put the kids to bed. 💋”
This admiration for Ryan’s professional success seamlessly ties into Eva’s broader commitment to maintaining family privacy. In April 2020, Eva deleted an Instagram post featuring one of her favorite pieces of art by René Magritte.
The painting depicts a man and woman attempting to kiss, their faces completely covered by cloth. Eva had shared the artwork to provide comfort and inspiration during the pandemic.
She said at the time, “Since I don’t post about immediate family, and it feels so wrong to post about work, here you go… One of my favorite pieces of art from one of my favorite artists René Magritte. I’ve always loved this one and it feels especially relevant right now [sic]. ❤”
The post received positive feedback from fans but one user asked Eva why she keeps her family private online. She replied, “Hi! I have always had a clear boundary when it comes to my man and my kids. I’ll talk about them of course, with limits, but I won’t post pictures of our daily life.”
