The actor remembered telling Hawn, “I said, ‘You know, if we have to dance in this, you’re a professional dancer. You know how to dance, but I just need to figure something out.”

Hawn told Russell they should go somewhere and dance to the kind of music that would be played in the movie. So, to prepare for their roles Kurt Russell took Hawn to The Playboy Club for some dancing practice.

The venue was a rare spot featuring swing music, which they needed to familiarize themselves with. “So we went to The Playboy Club and I just immediately was having a great time with this girl, Goldie,” Russell recalled.

After enjoying the night at The Playboy Club, Russell and the actress continued their evening at a house Goldie Hawn was renovating. They explored the rooms and ended up in the bedroom, where they shared an intimate moment.

“It was ironic because literally a week before I had been on a beach, a public beach in the South of France with hundreds and hundreds of people around nobody bothered to take a photo, nobody paid any attention,” she shared.

A week later, Mirren’s husband decided they should go swimming. He likes to swim where there are no people, and so, with great difficulty, they found a secluded place, had a little swim, and laid down.
